長年にわたって本校の英語教育に携わってくれているJonathan Edwards先生に，鶴ケ丘の英語の授業について紹介をしてもらっています！

さて，今回は第1学年　1学期の取り組みです。

Year 1 – Semester 1 – Introduction to situational English –

Students receive a basic grounding in “Eikaiwa” English. They learn practical English for general situations that might be encountered abroad – Shopping, Restaurants, Airplanes, Finding their way around town. At the end of the semester students write, memorize, and perform short skits based on what they have learned. These lessons are very open ended allowing both advanced and basic students to succeed. The reason for this is that our students come in with very mixed abilities and these types of lessons allow all students to feel comfortable speaking English.

第1学年―1学期―状況に応じた英語への導入―

生徒は「英会話」の基礎を学びます。買い物，レストラン，飛行機，道を聞くことといった，海外で出くわす一般的な状況について実践的な英語を学びます。学期の最後には，生徒は学んだことを基にした短い寸劇をします。授業は自由度が高く，英語が得意な生徒にも基礎を学びたい生徒にも，両方に対応しています。入学してくる生徒の英語力が多様化していますが，こういった授業を実践することで，どの生徒も緊張することなく英語を話すことができます。
